• Oversees the review and/or preparation of the progress reports and in resolving risks and claims in the best interest of POC through contractual related advice, specific to the two subcontracts
• Assists in the preparation and management of the Risk Register, specific to the two subcontracts.

• Monitors the final deliverables for adherence to the two subcontract requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction management or related field discipline
• Preferably Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (MInstCES) or the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
• Min. 15 years of relevant experience in contract management, payment submissions and claims with a bias to large scale dredging and reclamation projects is preferable
• Preferably with relevant experience of remote locations

• Experience of ground improvement methodologies including DDM is desirable
• Experience of working for or with a first-tier dredging contractor is desirable
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Must be very organized and have effective problem-solving skills


The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be part of the QS team in a large marine

construction contract and will be responsible for providing senior management with advice related primarily to dredging and soil improvement (Deep Mixing Method) subcontracts.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor shall provide advice on financial matters including but not limited to subcontract payments, variations and claims, and contract closeout procedures.
